The following is what David Pogge of The Counter Culture Magazine had to say about Sleep Walker:
"Red Dawn Sleepwalker good stuff kitty cats buckets of fun bitchslap your mama like Flash Gordon used to. Underoos...
Sorry about that. I was hungover when I started this review. I'm not exactly sure when and why it started, but somewhere around the age of 28, my hangovers morphed from a persistent, but manageable headache to a haze of neurotic hysteria punctuated by a complete inability to conjure conherent thoughts. It's the absolute +worst. The only thing worse for me than having a hangover is having a hangover with an impending deadline looming over me. And that's how my morning started. But then I took Sleepwalker. Look at me now!
Ok, obviously, I strung together that first sentence for dramatic/comedic effect. But the rest of it is true. I'm hungover as hell and when I'm hungover, I can't write for shit. And it's also true that the remedy I chose for my situation was none other than Red Dawn's number one selling supplement, Sleepwalker.
I'll be honest. I've never understood the logic behind the branding. A name like "Sleepwalker" doesn't exactly conjure the smooth, focused energy that the product actually delivers. No, I imagine being lulled into a sleep-like trance, where my consciousness dances delicately in that nebulous realm that divides the world of dreams from the mundane reality of the living. But, as my circular brain has already revealed, this particular supplement is not one of the dozens of illicit prodcuts that has floated in and out of our industry attempting to mimic that which we can't sell. It is, in fact, a lovely combination of B vitamins, caffeine, GABA and a wonderful supplement called phenibut, which we'll discuss below. So, then, what exactly does it do? I'll spell it out now and then give some deets below: imagine the movie, "Limitless", but then defictionalize it. Yes, I know that sentence contained two made up words, but I took Sleepwalker and I'm feeling creative.
Let's get into the ingredients. First, you have the B vitamins. If you're not familiar with the purpose of B vitamins, you should probably put down the Big Mac and spend a couple minutes learning about proper nutrition. Moving on... The next ingredient is caffeine. Pretty sure we can gloss over this one too. That brings us to GABA. From the regular occurence of this particular ingredient in workout supplements, we can go ahead and make general assumptions about its legality and safety. But from my personal research, I can add to this assumption that GABA acts as an accelerant, opening your blood vessels to allow rapid delivery of the product's benefits as well as aids in promoting feelings of general wellbeing. Finally, there is phenibut; the (not so) secret ingredient that gives Sleepwalker its edge. Phenibut was originally discovered by the Soviet Union in the 60s and has since been administered to Cosmonauts to mitigate stress and anxiety. It has been especially useful because unlike conventional anti-stress supplements, phenibut does not impede mental function or cause drowsiness.
From extended firsthand experience, I can tell you that when all of these individual nutritional heroes come together, the results form little less than the Captain Planet of focus supplements. He'll swoop in, rip out the cobwebs from the interiors of your brain, knock loose the words on the tip of your tongue and bitchslap your daydreaming ass back into the present reality. To sum it up, the shit works and it works well, with no discernable side effects and no undesirbable ingredients. I orginally tried it three years ago, and when my daily sales figures hit around four times my average, I knew it was a winner. Three years later, it's still my go-to for deadlines, trade shows and pretty much anytime I plan on it being a long night. In fact, the only negative aspect of this product is the relatively low shelf life. I'm not sure if it's a chemical property of one of more of the ingredients or the capsules themselves that are used, but the contents have a tendency to congeal a little more quickly than I'd like. Even then, though, the congealing in no way affects the actual performance of the product itself. It's really just more of an annoyance. Besides, any store I've ever known to carry it can't keep it on their shelves once their customers catch on, so that's not even really a risk. The bottom line is this: If your store is open to carrying consumables, Sleepwalker should be on your shelf. It is by far, the best focus/energy supplement on the market. Five Hour Energy doesn't have shit on this concoction. Don't take my word for it, though. I'm just one humble reviewer. Call your distributor and get a sample and find out for yourself. you'll thank me later.
